We are looking for an effective and committed person to manage the centre who will promote the Association as an important part of local community life and a focus for social activity, community development, information and support.
The role requires a 48 hours working week including evenings and weekends. The General Manager must be prepared to work behind the bar, bar management and be capable of controlling and organising staff team rotas. Duties will include cellar work, stock control and hall hire operations as well as liaising with suppliers. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Law is also part of this role.
You will ensure that customers are receiving excellent drinks, food, and service. You will also manage inventory and resources, ensuring that quality and safety controls are followed. Maintain current licenses, create schedules, set business objectives to increase profits and maximise customer satisfaction.
The successful General Manager should be a skilled communicator with excellent problem solving, observational, and interpersonal skills, and have a proven focus on customer service. Experience within a friendly Members Club environment is a plus but not essential.
